Living and photographing on picturesque Vancouver Island furnishes Coreen Zerr with exquisite natural images. She uses images to draw her viewer into the scene to experience and enjoy the beauty. Coreen's interpretation of the landscape and nature leans toward a realistic voice, as she constantly experiments with new techniques and products to incorporate reality into her pieces with fibre. Recently, she has been concentrating her work on images of animals and birds. 

Coreen is a member of several art galleries, as well as belonging to Studio Art Quilting Association, Fibre Art Network, Surface Design Association, and Textile Fibre Artist of Manitoba. She has created and donated over 300 pieces to many charities on the Island, as well as held a sale of over 60 pieces, with proceeds to Prostate Cancer Research. Over the last 20 years, she has judged many Quilt and Fibre exhibits on Vancouver Island. Coreen's fibre art works have been displayed throughout North America and she has won several major awards both Nationally and Internationally including "Best of Country" at the World Competition.

Coreen is also a highly regarded fibre art mentor by fellow fibre artists. She has taught fibre art courses in almost every province in Canada. She has many pieces with private collectors, was commissioned by the Anglican Church in Lantzville, BC to do 5 large Landscape commissions, commissioned by the Province of BC, the city of Lacombe, Alberta and several private commissions.
