Hi, I’m excited to be a part of the art Hammond Bay tour. My name is Carol Thacker and I love to be creative. My mentor is Coreen Zerr, a well-known Fiber Artist, who taught across Canada. Don’t let her fool you, she is a motivational ‘slave driver’. My passion is to work with paints, and fabrics, to design mixed media art. I’ve now retired, which gives me more time to work on my own original. After I start a project, I change my ideas ten times. Artists call it fabric art; my style is called “Hack and “Wack”. It’s like painting with thread to create an image. I often have new ideas; I want to try everything. I’m grateful that I have time to expand and have fun.
