I have been interested in wood and woodworking my whole life, and have dabbled in various forms of woodcraft for decades.  However, only since retirement have I had the time to really apply myself and develop some skills and passion. Almost all of my work is created from local Vancouver Island-grown woods, mainly Bigleaf Maple and Arbutus. I very much enjoy starting with a log in the woods, cutting it into manageable pieces, getting it to my shop and then creating something both beautiful and functional. The beauty is in the wood…  it is my hope to display it well.
